I would say that कम The principle is probably woven in the life of Shri  Ganapatbhai. In America, which is considered a superpower in the field of  industry; he founded a company dealing in electronics products, and turned it into a world famous company. Not only that, he founded a university in his hometown, and is now wholeheartedly committed to making it one of the  leading universities in the world. I have faith in his confidence, planning and leadership. I am supremely confident that we all witness the phenomenal success of GUNI.

From the stage of today’s 19th convocation ceremony, I am seeing a roaring ocean of youth. I feel like a huge ship carrying more than 2500 students from different disciplines to the world with their degrees, which has been navigated by skilled professors from Ganpat University. As the ship is moving under the visionary Shri Ganapatbhai; I have no doubt that the youth of this University, who is coming forward for the development of the country, will take our nation to the new heights of glory and achievement in the world.

Ganapatbhai’s keen desire to do something new in the field of education is truly commendable. I am happy to say that your university is different from others in one respect and that is: your students stride into the outside world with high moral values. They become successful, and truly contribute to the betterment of society.

From day one, I have witnessed the growth of Ganpat University. I have been
associated with the late Anilbhai Patel since the beginning of my political career. He was far-sighted and virtuous. I also had the opportunity to work with him. I consider myself lucky to have got a chance to get to know him very closely. I know that Ganpat University is one of the fastest growing private universities in our country and all the credit goes to Ganpatbhai and his capable team. It is also noteworthy that this university is also contributing in the field of RENEWABLE ENERGY.

As a Gujarati, I am emotionally attached to this university. I heartily congratulate 115 Ganpat University for winning the 2018 award for the noble placement activities by Government of Gujarat. Congratulations to Ganpat University for being awarded the best university by ASSOCHAM INDIA 2018, and also for being chosen as one of the two best private universities of India in 2019. I know that Ganpat University has been gaining more and more success since its inception in the year 2005. Ganpat University’s reputation is steadily growing to touch the pinnacle of higher academic excellence. I feel elated and feel a sense of personal pride in saying this. I am satisfied and proud to see all these institutes of different disciplines amidst lush green grove of trees. I really feel that I am fortunate to get the opportunity to help in the progress of this philanthropic university. Both, you and I are well acquainted with the name and fame of the university.

I would like to mention the course of Marine Engineering offered by GUNI. As the Minister of Shipping, it makes me proud that GUNI is dedicated to produce skilled Marine Engineers. The marine engineering courses run by you are becoming a milestone in this day and age. At this time when marine field research is becoming extremely important for the development of our economy, these courses hold great value for nation. For this, I thank this university and especially Ganpatbhai and special congratulations to Dr. Sharma.

All of us know that our country has an almost 7517 kms long sea coast and more than 200 ports. Our state Gujarat also has the longest sea coast of almost 1600 kms and I personally believe that we will be able to provide ample opportunities to our  coming generations. You all will be thrilled to know that the import at the Indian sea coasts is expected to reach USD 43.03 Billion by 2020. The export import at the Indian sea coasts is increasing significantly. By February 2019, the traffic at the bigger ports of India has reached 700 Million Tons. Some special Economic Zones are also being developed near the port areas. The Indian government is aiming to build the port with the 3200 MMT capacity by the year 2020. It is also running the National Sea/Ocean Development Programme having the cost of around 11.8 Trillion Dollars.

I know that Ganpat University is ready to face any challenge in the vast areas of Marine Engineering and Maritime management and consultancy. I am currently working under the visionary guidance of our Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Mod,i and I know it to be true that our honourable prime  inister has a keen interest in the further development of Ganpat University. Whenever he talks about the growth and development of Education in Gujarat; he  unfailingly mentions the contribution and development of this university. It is really our fortune that our present Prime Minister is one of us. I still remember that when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat; he used to take keen interest in every matter related to Ganpat University. And today I personally felt and saw that Ganpat University has whole heartedly joined the Skill India, Clean India and Make in India movements. It is making possible all the seemingly impossible tasks in the development of the youth of the country. The live example of which can be seen here in the form of this “Ready to Sail” ship on this campus which is miles away from the sea coast.

On this occasion, I would specially say that Ganpatbhai You, and the other board members of Ganpat University are really contributing remarkably in creating this “New India” and for that I am really grateful to you on behalf of the Indian Government.

I am glad to be a part of the 13th convocation ceremony of this reputed university. This is really a landmark day for all of you. You stayed here for many years for this educational work, and today you are leaving this wonderful educational environment, for the further realization of your dreams and aspirations. I am sure you are experiencing a cocktail of emotions ranging from feeling emotional to being swept by a wave of excitement at what lies in store for you. Let me tell you that you have a bright future ahead.

Convocation is a centuries-old tradition of Indian culture. I have often read in books that the gurus also gave the initiates an understanding of social responsibility when 117 hosting the convocation ceremony at the end of formal studies in Vedic times. I now recall my own convocation when just like you, I stepped out of the university with dreams of progress and accomplishments in life.

Today, even the western countries are showing unprecedented interest in India’s development journey . I am confident that India will become a world leader again.

On this occasion, once again, I heartily congratulate you on receiving your  degree.

Life is really precious. The important thing is what you can do for your nation. I hope you don’t forget the creators who guided you throughout your life.

Respect those who dedicate themselves to the society, who spend a large portion of Respect those who dedicate themselves to the society, who spend a large portion of country. Always strive to establish peace and prosperity, and look for people to live in harmony.

I sincerely wish when you leave this academic environment and enter the society,you will serve the nation with your values, hard work and  determination.

Appreciate practical, ideological and freedom of speech. Respect these high aspects of the country’s constitution, protect it faithfully.

Do noble deeds for your parents, relatives, this society and this nation that you are born in.

Friends, today, as you are entering a new phase of your life with a degree, I would like to extend my best wishes to you on behalf of the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India.

Life is precious. What you can do to serve the country will also be immensely precious.

I want the students of Ganpat University to come out of this sacred environment with their character, hard work and patriotism when they are going into society.

Once again I would like to thank all the managers, especially Mr. Ganpatbhai and all the members of his competent team, and wish the student friends all the very best.
